Pullet or not?
10 weeks old today.
I cannot decide.
He/she feathered slowly and still doesn't have much of a tail.

@HuffleClaw can I get your expert opinion?
This 3rd generation mutt is 12 weeks old now. I am seeing no male traits other than his coloring.
He is very shy and submissive to the other chickens.
His (egg) mother is in the foreground of the first pic and she also has a lot of bright red feathers. The mom has RIR in her background if that makes any difference.
Wishful thinking? Is it possible little Abby is a she?

That’s definitely a cockerel. It’s not so much the red itself but where it’s located. He’s got those bright red shoulder patches unlike his mother. Also a lot of comb for the age. Definitely a boy. :(

Well gee...just bust my bubble. Lol. I knew that. I was just keeping false hope because I like this one. Sigh.
