Pullets! So glad to hear that! I was pretty sure, but I figured I should ask the professionals! Ha! It’s so her to tell on EE it seems.

Meetthebubus, they actually function really well. They’re easy keepers for the most part. When they were really little they had to just live in a cage with a layer of food at the bottom so everywhere they pecked they’d get a mouthful. Their first water dish had to be shallow and easy to step into. Once they’d step in the water, they’d drink.

When they were about 6 or seven weeks old I tried the bowl for food and changed water to a regular bowl. They didn’t need any teaching. I still tap their bowl when I fill it to let them know it’s there, but they really don’t need me too. Heck, most of the time I don’t even put food and water in the same spot. Mind you they’re kept in smaller enclosures. The only two “high maintence” parts of them is that they’re a little heat sensitive in 100degrees or higher and at night I still bring them in because they’re small and I’m worried about predators.

How did they become blind, or we're they hatched that way? Strange you would get two...

Well, a good friend of mine is a dog groomer and her shop is attached to a feed store. The feed store wound up with two blind chicks and she took them in to help. (She and I both do a bunch of animal rescue stuff.) When they were about a month old, she gave them to me because she knew I had chickens.

I thought it was strange too. I wonder where they were ordering their chicks from.
