10 week old Silkie Chick - is it a Roo?

This is "Lucy" (wishful thinking). Is this a rooster? I'm hoping not because I already have 2 roosters and 8 hens (working nicely together with one dominant, sweet rooster and one crazy, less dominant rooster). A very sweet chick. If it's a rooster I will have to re-home. Thanks for your help! Lori

It looks roo to me. It has crest tassles, and the "party in the front, business in the back" thing going on.

Erg. At what age will I know for sure? Hatch date was January 30, 2015.

They can start to crow as early as 13 weeks. Although if there are alpha roos around, he may not. Is he your only silkie?

I have 2 roosters that are almost a year old, 8 hens (same age), Besides this chick, I have one born March 22, April 2 and April 4, with 2 due this weekend and one in about a week 1/2. All Silkies!!

A happy little flock that follow me around like kittens. My dominant rooster, Elvis, sits on my lap and lets me pet him.
