These are my two silkies, Cotton and Cloud. I have no clue what sex they are so I'm asking for educated guesses from all of you who know more than I do lol.

Cloud in front, Cotton in the back

Cotton. Don't mind the blue kote on her (hopefully) chest. There was a broken pin feather that was bleeding so I had to "hide" it from the others

Cotton again

This is Cloud. Not very cooperative with the camera lol.

Cloud again

Cloud

and again, Cloud

I know it's not the best group of pictures but that was the best I could get first thing this morning. They were all excited running around and wouldn't come to me lol. I can try to get up close pictures of their combs later this afternoon. It's really hard too that I can't even compare their combs to each other since Cotton has a single comb and Cloud I'm guessing has the normal walnut comb. So any educated guesses would be great :) Thanks!

I would say that for now they are both pullets. I don't see any reddening of the faces, wattle development or any really noticeable combs.

Thanks. I'm really hoping they both are pullets. Hubby has strictly declared that I can't have any more roosters than the 3 that we already are sure of and that if any more prove to be boys, they must go to the soup pot. On top of that, he's itching to try black chicken meat. I don't want to part with any of them lol. I've been hearing random crowing in the coop but I don't know who for sure it is. I think it's one of my marans boys but they rarely crow so I don't have their crows memorized lol and whoever it is won't do it while I'm watching lol. I'm just trying to make sure it's not one of my silkies.

Cotton looks like a cockerel from the expression in his eyes- pic #2. Cloud may be a pullet but I am not sure.

These are guesses. It is very difficult sometimes to tell with silkies. I would wait until you know. I have been surprised with silkies before.
