Does anyone have an explanation? She is more like 11 weeks in my opinion. Has all of her adult feathers. Her voice has changed, but barely. We got another chicken at the same time we got her, but the other is 2-3 weeks older. They are good friends, you will not find one without the other. Ember, the oldest, is an australorp x rir, Pumpkin, the youngest is a cuckoo maran x ameraucana. Ember stopped peeping about 3 weeks ago, but was showing signs of stoping a week before. Any ideas?

My mixed breed bantam is 16 weeks and cackles instead of doing a normal bawk lol probably not much help :D

mine didn't start REALLY clucking until about 12 or 13 weeks.

They all start using adult talk at different times. This years group hasn't giving a good adult cluck yet at 17 weeks. They may be singing the egg song before they cluck like an adult.
