These two birds were the sole survivors of my first attempt at hatching chicks at home. (I'm happy to say that the hatch rate jumped to a more respectable 64% [shipped eggs] on the next try.)

I've been thinking these were both boys because of their coloration at hatch time, but I'm seeing some differences in the tail feathers that have left me wondering. Something weird is going on in their genes anyway since one of them has yellow legs rather than the slate color that partridge Penedesencas are supposed to have.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the confirmation, folks. I'm in town and will have to re-home them, unfortunately. I hope someone in the area is interested because I do think they are going to be pretty stunning.
