10 wk old BA cockrel with bump on beak. Normal????

I have a 10 wk roo with a bump forming on its beak. I'm a new chicken mom and don't know if this is normal. I've looked online but can't find anything. This site has been a life saver in this new adventure, thanks for any thoughts!

The dark is dirt, not the color of the bump. I forgot to mention that.

It almost looks like dry fowl pox, but I'm no expert...someone with more knowledge should be along shortly...best of luck!

It looks like the mystery "wart on beak" disease in a whole bunch of posts on BYC. I have seen a lot of these where some thought they were from injuries on metal feeders or fencing, viruses, cysts, and some fall off, but no one seems to ever get a diagnosis. Here are some of those threads:

Thanks, it seems like no one can figure this out. One even saw a vet and they didn't know either. I'll keep an eye on it, hope its nothing, I wanted to breed him.
