10 wks chicken developed bulge over eye some weeks ago which has enlarged

She seems healthy, there's no apparent wound. What might this be? Should we consult a vet?

Poor girl. I would take her to the vet. It might be a tumor or something like that. Sorry I'm not much help.

No smell as far as we can tell.

Took her to vet. Said it was a cyst, aspirated and found thin, watery material so concluded she probably has a genetic anomoly which is blocking proper flow of something thus the backup into a cyst. Vet expects the cyst to reappear and that it will probably not be a problem other than a very slight vision impairment. She was as yet unnamed so we've now decided on Lefty (her good eye!)
