Since there's no absolutely CERTAIN way to know if an egg is fertilized upon entry to the incubator, I count them all. I've still had one 100% hatch out of the bunch (eggs from here), average is about 60%, even with shipped eggs. Sometimes one one hatches, sometimes nearly all of them. It all balances out.
That one at 100% was a fun day, I didn't expect them all to hatch! Suddenly had 18 new chickens! OOPS!
