100% loss

Thanks for your input, I'm going to try again. I had only wondered with the tray because of the significant temperature fluctuations that happened whenever it turned:)

How does your turning tray work, is it different than the ones I have used?

The egg turners I have always used were constantly turning back and forth, except very slowly. There was definitely an increase in incubator temp when using an egg turner, but because the turner was always moving the temp increase was constant. I just had to adjust the thermostat down a little bit to accomodate this.

I could see where you might have problems with a turner that started and stopped and made the temps change all the time!

yes i tried to lower the temp but it didnt stop it from going up then dropped and so forth. it works by going to the side for two hours, then straight up for 2 hours and then to the other side for 2 hours, and would continue in that pattern. so every 2 hours the temp went crazy and so would the alarm. I'm going to try without it and just move the eggs every so often and see how things work out. a constant moving one sounds better:)

Wow, I never heard of an incubator that turned like that! That would be dreadful for hatching eggs with that type of temp flux. So disheartening. Hope it goes better next time around.

thanks, I'm going to try again without the tray. and I also found that the factory setting for the humidity was too high, so hopefully that'll help as well!
