107 degrees - YIKES! **Update - Chicks hatched! Pic Page 2!!!**

So I was just wondering if you have any updates on these...Mine spiked for an hour or so today (I'm only on day 2) so I was looking for a little reassurance--i think they only got to about 103 and I'm not sure how long it takes for the internal egg temps to get up there...it was definitely TOO hot in the hot tub, though!!!

Good luck--I'll be rooting for you!

They are due to hatch 3/5. I candled last night and had two quitters out of 41 eggs but the rest are doing just fine! Don't panic over 103. I've had that happen before (still air though not forced air) and they were just fine. Good luck with yours and I'll report back when they hatch!

two days ago my lg suddenly spike after 18 of running, to 128!!, thankfully i had taken my 18day eggs out the night before to the genesis, had 27 still in there due in 1 and 2 weeks, i'm waiting to see i won't give up yet, they were at that temp for about 30mins-1 hour, i had just look at the temp an hour before.

Sure hope they'll be ok!! If you're using the thermometers with batteries, have you replaced them lately? We had that happen yesterday again but aren't panicking. Two digitals read perfect temps but one showed 107. Looked at it again and it said 99. We changed the batteries and now everything reads between 99 and 101. On the night that mine went to 107, both thermometers showed the same so I know it wasn't the batteries that time. Just a thought and wishing the best for yours

Just wanted to update - today is day 20 and when I woke up this morning, I had one chick hatched and it looks just fine!! When I got home from work, I noticed there are 3 more eggs pipping!!! I am SO glad I didn't toss the eggs - was very tempted at the beginning!!

Oh, that's wonderful!!! Can't wait to hear more! I think my spike probably killed mine 'cause I candled yesterday and didn't see much but blood rings...I'mna wait and do it again but I'm so glad yours are good! pictures pictures pictures pictures

Good luck!

I would LOVE to take pics but they are in the Sportsman incubator so it's very hard to see.

Here's another question: With 3 other eggs pipping, should I open the bator to remove the chick that hatched last night? This is my first hatch in this incubator so I'm not sure what to do. I'm afraid to open it. Tempted to just leave it be but I don't know.

That's pretty much what I was thinking! Although with the LG's I didn't hesitate - reached right in and grabbed them, but I have alot more eggs to be concerned with in this one.

Great news!!! As of this morning 28 out of 30 have hatched and all of them are healthy and perfect!

I candled before I put them in the hatcher and did have to toss 11 that didn't develop but I'm thrilled with the hatch! Here's a pic of my new babies!!
