108 degrees

[Desert Plum]

102 in shade with *&^%$#@ 80% humidity. I'm a native So calif so I've indured many a summer here. I have never been in a place with so much humidity in the freaking summertime. The chickens are hot but in the shade in dirt I keep almost constantly wet. I've no idea how my mint is making it but it is.

Its been over 100 for about 2 weeks down here. I lost my first bird (ever) to a heat stroke last Saturday.

Ewww - Water moccasins are awful this time of year.

Wow, now I feel much better about our 101F with 18% humidity. I don't have AC, but that's okay. I'll take my weather any day. Hope everyone finds ways to stay cool.
