I've wanted an isabel ever since I first saw them, and now I have one. At first I thought boy because of how slowly it feathered in and how small it was. But at the same time, it was also a victim of shrink wrap and might have just developed slowly. It has now mostly caught up in size to my other chickens and its comb isn't very red, especially when compared to the obvious boys in my group; looks like the girls. I'm really hoping pullet, but it grew its feathers in so slowly...

Pullet, and boy, is she ever GORGEOUS!!!!!!

You're welcome! Great, now that's another color variety I need.

I've never heard of it before, so I assume it's rather uncommon.

Lol, yeah, there seems to be little information on them. It was funny because the day I discovered them, I found a breeder who, not only sold them, but sold them in Canada (I keep finding breeders in the States or the UK who won't ship eggs here.) Exciting day, that was!
