I will talk about some very easy DIY uses for pine! For the coop and for the flock! A lot of these uses I use myself and find them to be great! Please post any questions/concerns at the bottom. :D :D

Pine In The Diet~

Pine needles have:
Protein, fatty acids carbohydrates, minerals (calcium-magnesium), And many vitamins such as B and E.
In my experience, a lot of the time we just through a branch into the pen and they will love to eat it throughout the day!

Pine Huts~

I myself love to make little domes of pine using a post in the middle and them someone way to attach the branches to the post. They will love to eat, sleep, and preen underneath the shade of the branches. Also, it makes it feel more like a natural environment.
(These pictures are in winter so most of the needles are gone but you still get an idea of what it's like. You can replace the branches every few months)

Pine for Bedding~
Though I don't use pine for bedding myself it is a common use of the material. You can use the dry needles or the shavings. Do keep in mind possible symptoms of shavings and know your sources.
(Pine shavings/needles can also be used as nesting material)
