11 rescued hens need help

The girls are all doing really well. It's crazy how fast their feathers are coming in. Their feet are starting to look better - they hate the vaseline.

Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with them when they are healthy again. I'm trying to get rid of some of my chickens before winter - I really can't afford to feed this many chicken for too much longer. I just can't bring myself to butcher these girls after all they've been through. Hopefully they find homes.

Can you wait a few weeks and then advertise them to go for feed? Alot of people in my area are looking for hens-I sold out early summer and now have to make a trip to purchase a bunch for 3 people besides me! I would love to trade hens for bags of food-Ask for a bag of layer food per hen? Thats 10$ a bird-you get rid of them and stock up on food at the same time I wish people around me would do that! That would save me alot of travel time for food runs!
