It's a cockerel
All signs point cockerel
If they're not restricted where you are, and the neighbors don't complain about the crowing I'd say go for it. I asked my 3 closest neighbors (all live less than 150 ft from the coop) and they either aren't bothered by the crowing or can't hear them.I know...I never wanted roosters...now I don't know if I can give him away!!
I'm out in the country so neighbors aren't an issue...just not sure if I'm ready to deal with the whole thing...I have about a month or so to figure things out...If they're not restricted where you are, and the neighbors don't complain about the crowing I'd say go for it. I only planned to have pullets, but the cockerels keep things interesting. I have two and so far they get along and haven't been a problem (16 weeks old). I figure I can always sell/give one away later once I know if they're fertile/produce healthy chicks.
Awwweeee...they are both so beautifulEveryone told me not to my first year, but who could give up these guys
