For sexing from pictures it is best to post a set of 3 pictures of the turkey in question. One full frontal, one full side and one from the back looking down and forward that shows thw back of the neck and the top of the head.

All photos need to be in focus.

At 11 weeks old toms and hens both can still have the "mohawk". The toms are starting to lose theirs.

Ahhhh shucks I wish it wasn’t so. I’m ready to sell a couple 😜
Experienced turkey owners can very often sex poults at a much younger age by visual clues and behavior clues. It also helps when both sexes are present to compare the differences.

Sexing from pictures is not the same and late developing toms can be really difficult to positively sex until 6 months old.

Once the Bourbon Reds get their adult feathers, the breast feathers of the hens will have a light colored lower edge. The breast feathers of the toms will have a dark or black colored lower edge.

The juvenile breast feathers of both sexes will have a light colored lower edge.

Approximately what age do the adult feathers come in?

Yes, I searched before posting and read about the pictures needed for sexing. I promise I tried! They are fast boogers and do not like having their back to me! Lol
