111 degrees out there right now....

Our heat index was right at 110 today . . .absolutely miserable. Is there an end in sight? Predictions I have heard more than once says Aug. and Sept are going to be worse than July

and then it is going to turn off COLD in Oct. Great. Heating fuel at almost $1.90 a gallon . . .and freezing in Oct. . .another wonderful winter to look forward too.

Weather people can't accurately predict what is going to happen 2 days from now, I doubt they can tell what the next couple of months will be except to be as pessimistic as possible. One thing about the weather, whatever comes, we'll deal with it.

Heat has come out our way

I haven't mowed our lawn in over six weeks. That's how long it's been since we had more than a light drizzle of rain that did nothing for the grass. It has stopped growing, it's just laying over brown and dead.

Well is gonna be about 104 -105 here in central Oklahoma today. Supposed to cool down by Sunday.
The wind is always blowing here except when it is this hot. What's up with that?

It's normally triple digits this time of year here in Sacramento, CA. But it has been hanging in the 80's, almost Fall-like in the morning, then warming up to perfect in the afternoon. After a hideous winter, this is wonderful. So sorry others are suffering with the heat. Hopefully it will be your turn soon to cool down.

BTW - Love the cartoon. i'm saving it to send to friends when we hit the hundreds.
