I won’t be using an incubator, but one of my hens just went broody and we’re going to let her try to hatch some out. Interested to see how everyone else’s turns out.

English Silver-laced Orpingtons, English White Orpingtons, and some eggs from my pen with Chocolate, Black, Blue, and Lavender girls being covered by a spare SLO rooster to test fertility. So chickens...lol

I do have an American Buff goose that started incubating March 10th.

If you’re setting chicken eggs, the recommended date was tomorrow Saturday March 21st. Not sure if your numbers would still count, but you can still chat on this hatch a long

The window is a bit more than two days before and after set day. We want them to hatch as close to possible on Saturday not Easter Sunday.

Looking at the weather this week I probably won't be able to use a broody hen, it's getting below freezing again this weekened.
So I'll have to wait on that and try with a broody another time. I'm going to keep collecting and prepare to set up my incubator. I've got six eggs ready for setting now, hoping I get a few more before noon tomorrow.
