12 babies + 2 laying hens

We have 12, 6 week old chicks. 2 roos for sure, and not sure on the others. I wanted to get 2-3 laying hens so we could have eggs this summer also. The babies are still in the brooder, and the coop is almost ready. How do I go about getting them all in the coop? Just put them out there and call it a day?

What we did was fence in a little area in the coop just so they couldn't run the full area considering they we really small. We also made sure they knew where the food and water is , otherwise yes they should be fine and they will adapt quickly
