12 Blue Wheaton Ameraucana Hatching Eggs Auction

That's too bad. These eggs will produce Easter Eggers. If you breed the chicks hatched from these eggs, you could get some wheatens and blue wheatens, but it would take a lot of culling.
ETA: You need to steal those wheaten hens back ;)

If you have a wheaton rooster over blue hens they will not be considered standard bred ameraucanas because the colors would be mixed.

then i guess i will be getting those hens back from her
i just love the blue

He is a handsome fellow.

The best photos for evaluation of type are a view straight on from the side, and another showing the head, especially the comb. The legs and feet are actually quite important to breeders. A view from the rear is nice for hens to evaluate the tail spread.

Beautiful blues and blue wheaton males! You should absolutely get the wheaton hens back!

They are great looking birds, was her Rooster straight blue or black? I'd swap roos in that case and keep in mind it will take several weeks before the girls aren't fertile from your wheaten boy.
