These birds are just incredible layers. We actually moved their entire pen and switched feed brands on them at the same time and they were laying again the next day. They are fairly calm birds as well. I just hatched out a perfect 10 out of 10.
 
what is you r secret, i hatch mine and they died. aaaagaggghhh..

I brood them in a glass aquarium with a heating pad set on high, use the lid of a jar of yeast as a water dish. The first day or so I serve the food super wet, like a smoothie. As bedding I use an old baby blanket, diaper, or shelf-lining when my husband remember he's not supposed to throw the shelf lining out. After they get a few days old I often add some little pine branches to provide them with some natural hidey-holes. That keeps the occasional quail on quail violence at a minimum.

Keeping the bedding from getting wet seems to be the absolute best way to prevent problems. Everytime I've lost more than one chick, it's been because the bedding got wet and they caught a chill.
