My lavendar ameraucana is purebred. My lavendar babies I get really look lavendar....I don't know if they will or will not breed lavendar babies because this is a young flock and I haven't had the time to see this yet. There is a lavendar color in all my rooster in tail & body colors. I will be looking at the babies and how they grow out....JUST to clarify for everyone. Many of the babies look lavendar. I have also hatched black babies from this pen, so I suspect that there is a pure black ameraucana in the blood lines of some of the hens that's pinging on Sharky's genes. Many of the ladies I'm going to put in a pen for Olive eggers but I'm going to do this late season....I'm just entranced by the light colors and different colors I'm getting from the two pens, just so beautiful.
And blue and green eggs!
What amazes me is that I hatched these birds from blue, green and pink eggs, but none of them lay pink eggs??? Why is that???? Totally fascinated by the genes in this flock!
