It's easy to refer to 12 eggs as a 'dozen'. It's short and quick. It gets the point across easily with no confusion.

Am I missing the obvious counterpart for 18 eggs? "1 1/2 dozen"? "Dozen-and-a-half"? "18-count"?

I want my egg adverts to be clean and simple - and I know I'm over-thinking this, but I can't find a phrase that works.

18 count or dozen and a half.

I wouldn't do 1 1/2 dozen because it can be difficult to read from a moving car (if on signs) or in tiny type (in the newspaper or on internet listings).

At my local grocery, a "set of eggs" is one of those flat pack 20 deals.

I ended up going with "x$ / 1 dozen, x$ / 18 count". I don't like it (it doesn't have a good 'flow') but I don't like the alternatives any better. Unless I go with "12 count & 18 count" but that seems to take away from the 'dozen' that we all associate with eggs.

Thanks for your help and suggestions everyone!
