The Isbar was developed in Sweden in the 1950s by Martin Silverudd. Blue is the preferred color, but as with most blue fowl, they also exist in splash and black as well. My flock of gorgeous Isbars came directly from Greenfire Farms. I have one exceptionally handsome rooster, Bjorn and 8 lovely pullets, 6 blue and 2 splash, all currently laying. The splash hens are the prettiest splash chicken I have ever seen. The combs on all my Isbars are erect and straight and the feathering and leg color are correct. The eggs are all green, in various shades ranging from a khaki green to a lovely moss green, some spotted, some not. So far the girls have been prolific layers. They lay around 200 large green eggs a year. They are a docile, easy-going bird and generally do well free ranging. They are not flighty at all including Bjorn who is quite friendly. He also possesses excellent rooster qualities, alerting when he senses danger, finding treats for the girls, and rounding them all up at night. I have hatched many Isbar eggs and have had three test hatches by friends, one locally and one on eggs shipped across the country. All the test hatches produced excellent results. The striking blue color, gorgeous green eggs, and their rarity make the Isbar the ultimate backyard chicken.

Terms of this sale:

Eggs have been tested for fertility. Please understand that I will package the eggs to the best of my ability to prevent breakage, but I cannot be responsible for damage done in transit. These eggs will be wrapped individually in bubble wrapped, then boxed. The package will be filled with styrofoam packing peanuts boxes. They will be shipped USPS Priority Mail unless the buyer contacts me and opts to pay additional for Express shipping. ( Express Mail Flat Rate Box is $39.95) When the eggs have shipped, you will receive a tracking number. The fact that an egg does not hatch does not mean that it was infertile. Rough handling, x-rays, etc can cause damage that prevents the egg from developing. For this reason, the buyer must understand that I will not replace or refund eggs that do not hatch or develop. Buying hatching eggs is a gamble. I will do everything possible to assure your eggs arrive in perfect condition.
I reserve the right to refuse sales to anyone if I feel the situation warrants it.

FYI-

I received a rude PM asking why I am devaluing these birds. I told that person that I had saved these eggs for a chick order but no longer need them so I wanted to sell them quickly. They are not old. I have 8 pullets laying so I get 7-8 eggs a day. I just didn't want them sitting around for an auction.
