what is the difference between the colors lavender and blue?

What line are the black hens from?

THey are LF. The black hens came from Ann Foley. She is from Indiana and has been showing them for several years. She does very well with her Ameraucanas. She is also a member of the Ameraucanas Ass.

do they look any different just by looking at them?

in my experience (though limited) the hens look alike while the roos don't. the lav roos are all one color while the blue roos are usually 2-tone blue
