I sold a trio to downsize, since they weren't giving me any eggs all year, so I thought I'd keep my best trio for showing. Then my 2 best hens died! Mites! Dang it! I loved them so much, and now they are gone. I did not see the mites with my poor eyesight. Not until the birds were dead. And I regularly treat my birds/pens for mites/lice! They are so bad this year. I miss my Rainesha & sweet Jezebel!

All I have left is a lonely Roo "Merlin". Waaah!

Oh my word!!! That's terrible!!! SO sorry to hear that!!! The mites have been bad this year--I dust everything down, change their bedding, and put DE in their bedding as well...I agree though, those mites have been wicked this year!!!

I'm trying to hatch a clear buff cockerel. I have 9 buffs from Amy Phiel growing out so I might get a male out of that batch. Gorgeous silkies as always Tracey. Can't wait for show season to talk with you again.
