The Long Awaited Garry Farm Speckled Sussex hatching eggs are back! Our fourth generation speckled sussex are laying and this flock is our prettiest ever with all their lovely shades of feathering! We've been waiting until our flock has been laying eggs at least 3 months and we've just hatched off our first babies ....a 100% hatch!!! This auction is for 12+ Speckled Sussex Hatching eggs - we'll send more the day of shipping if they are available. We have been so blessed with Speckled Sussex birds that we are privileged to care for. In addition to being beautiful. These are quite affectionate, with the hens literally coming to me to be petted. They are just a wonderful flock! These are the liveliest and friendliest of all our breeds. Even Lazarus, our Rooster will not attack me....He will dance around his ladies if a stranger approaches, but he is a gentle rooster who concentrates on being large tall, and proud.

We are a chemical free farm and farm full-time. We feed our animals with the best feed, sprouted grains, fresh grasses, treats from the garden and loving care. I often say that are animals get more nutritious food and rest than we do! We have a high rooster to hen ratio and am getting great reports and experiencing great hatches as well.

The charge for shipping and handling is dollar cost averaged so that you can pay immediately after winnint the auction. Should the costs run higher, we will simply absorb those costs. It includes selecting the best eggs, packing , handling, priority shipping and also confirmation delivery and driving them to the post office. We have found it worth the almost two hours it takes to pack the way we do and bring them to the post office and wait in line. If you want to have insurance, it will be an additional amount $2 and if you should need a heat pad, it's a $2. For this auction, we will need paypal.

We do accept paypal and USPS money orders for preorders as well. Orders may be picked up at the farm with prior notice so we can assure that they are ready for you.

We ship eggs in the same way we would like to receive them. We carefully examine each egg and select the best for you, bubble wrap each egg separately, putting in a regular box (not an egg carton) which is then cushioned and set in a larger box. These are not the prepaid priority boxes but we use the large boxes that can be ordered through USPS as the standard mailing box. Our mailing costs can often be higher than the prepaid boxes but we find that they arrive in better shape, so it's well worth the extra time, packing materials and shipping costs. Occasionally with a large order, we will use an even larger outside box. Even as carefully as we ship, we cannot guarantee that there will be no breakage in transit We do not guarantee the percentage of your hatch as the incubators temperature and humidity are very variable. We will provide assistance to you during the hatch and help in every way possible to have the best hatch possible.

After she molted, she had lots of gorgeous white with the speckles!

Laree owns her now and she's been used for the Aloha project!!!

Great bird, wonderful layer.
More about how we wrap eggs can be found here (on our BYC page link):

I'm very compulsive about eggs are wrapped. After studying different techniques of shipping eggs, we settled on this one. Although it is very labor intensive, it gets eggs to where they are going with the least disruption of them and the best hatching results!!! it is very expensive to use all the bubble wrap and packing we use but YOU are worth it and the best shipping possible for getting fertile eggs to babies is worth....Please do recycle your shipping materials from us. If you need help finding a way to recycle, do contact me.

If you have any questions about our shipping methods please let me know....AND please do try them....If you quote any of our instructions, please do give credit to us, the Garry Farm.

Thanks and have a blessed day! Nancy
