I'm looking for a good start on my search for true bantam speckled sussex chickens,chicks, or eggs. We used to have some we got lucky with at tractor supply but haven't found any since.

Bantam speckled Sussex are quite rare. Can you ask your tractor supply where they got them from? I know people have gotten Bantam spangled old English game from tractor supply. Are you sure what you had was a Sussex?
Holy cow you might be right ill try to get an old photo to compare.

Here's some photos of my bestest chicken ever.

Hi! Thanks for the tag.

Yes, I have Speckled Sussex bantams, bought chicks from a breeder here in NC.

@Cupples4x4 where are you located?

Your chicken is adorable, but I am not sure she's purebred, her legs don't look white.

Here's a standard for Speckled Sussex:

Speckled Sussex are built like a brick:

(not my bird!)

My birds aren't show quality, but I love them anyway.
