I've raised chickens for 6 years, finally decided to join a forum and this is it!

Hilary- Dark Brown Ameraucana
Tipper - Silver Laced Wyandotte
Eleanor- Cuckoo Maran
Hedwig - White Polish
Edith - Buff Polish
Zelda - Hamburg

We also have 8 Chihuahuas, 2 Corgi mixes, 1 cockatiel, 1 desert tortoise, 3 box turtles, 1 Leopard gecko, 1 tarantula, 4 bunnies, 2 Koi fish and 7 cats.

I can hardly wait to be able to post pictures. I have just completed upgrading their coop from MacGuyvered rabbit hutches to an official, dedicated coop purchased just for them. We are just now getting them accustomed to perching. They have been sleeping on hay for all their lives. I've been working hard keeping them clean and safe for the past 5 or 6 years in rabbit hutches. The last few days have been a joy to not have to reach to the furthest place in the hutch to collect eggs, (and to clean up poop). Now they have raised nesting boxes and the older ones (coming up 6 years) have lower places to sleep.
I don't know why I waited so long!
