12 week old Ameraucana, Pullet or Cockerel?

Hi Chicken Experts,

I posted a couple of weeks ago about my Ameraucana- does she still look like a pullet? She is now officially 12 weeks old. Her hackle feathers look pointy. Is this a breed trait? Thank you for your help!

Are you sure she's not an EE? I haven't seen that color before

She definitely could be an EE. I’ve seen pictures of EE who look similar. We just hope she’s a she

Agree with the others, girl.

If you look closely at the “pointy” hackle feathers, it may be the color pattern on the feathers which makes them look pointy while the feathers themselves are round.

You’re right! Upon closer look, they’re just pointy patterns on rounded hackle feathers. Good eye! Looking forward to some pretty colored eggs
