Does anyone have any pictures of some 12 week old BBB turkeys? Ours are 12 weeks and a couple of days old. Here is one of them. We are new to this turkey stuff and as my wife and I say often...."these ain't chickens". They are a hoot.

Tom or hen??? what do you think?

Thanks in advance

Based on the light color edging on the breast feathers the indication is that it is a hen.

Thanks for the answers. Should they be displaying by now if they were toms? Early on some of them did then it all stopped.

OK weighed all of them today. 15 weeks old yesterday and they each weighed 20 lb +/- an ounce or two. Ahead of the curve for weight gain according to the charts I have seen.

I free range all day for the last three weeks. That is why the flock is now 4 vs 5. Wiley Coyote had an early Thanksgiving. He got a turkey and a rooster. They get a 50% mix of 30% Turkey Starter Pellets and 17% Laying Pellets.

As always - these things are more nosy than the NSA. Also great at stealing small tools when I am piddling on something.
