I purchased 4 12 week old "green eggers" on Sat. 04-03-10 and when got home and released one seemed to have a problem walking. It was evening so next morning checked and she puts foot down but sideways. After a few days of watching and feeling it seems to be two toes that aren't right. I can't feel anything that is broke and she does try to "grab" my fingers when I hold the foot so not too sure what to do at this point. Is there a way to splint them or the foot? Thank for all/any help.

I have some of the threads about splinting - does anyone know or has anyone done this before. I believe it is just the toes on the outside of the foo causing the problem. So would you h=just splint the toes together or the whole foot?

Some of the threads says it will heal on it's own. The only thing I am concerned about is that she seems to rock back on the "knee" like she is resting. She can stand and eats and drinks normal but these two toes tend to go under the foot instead of out. She does lift her foot to try to put the out. It has been almost a week since I got them and not sure how long it would take to heal on it's own. Any ideas?

i have seen people take a piece of cardboard and cut it into a web shape and tape the toes to it.. like wearing flippers.. then ck it in a week or so. if need be do it again..
