She is eating if she can get to it, so I have been feeding her and giving her water. I noticed a knob/bump on one side of her head on top. It is painful to her. It's just above her ear. Is it a tumor or possible ear infection. She had a regular poo just after feeding and water.

Do you have a picture of the bump on her head? Is she lame in one or both legs, and does she have any curling under of her toes on either foot? Is she showing a loss of balance or using her wings to help get around? Was she vaccinate for anything? Can you get her drinking water and hold feed mixed with water up to her beak? Alternate with dry feed or what ever she will eat.

She was vaccinated with Mariks, we just had another feeding, she drank 6 plastic spoons of a light mix of turmeric tea and water. Then she ate dry crumble. she made tummy grumbles like she hungry, She seemed spunky as she was pecking at my polished nails. The other leg has curled toes like a fist, but I can put my finger in them like she would be grabbing roost. She stood for about thirty seconds when I set her down and used the other leg to drag/wobble to where I took the pic of her head. Both legs work above where the feathers are. Her wings are not consistent, they were spread out when I picked her up to check the other foot. Now she looks like the photos.
The bump Compared as to the other side it's like the hard part of her skull but the one side is much larger. She doesn't want her head touched. I will try the mixed crumble mush and make an egg scramble to feed her too.

She's not well.
Possible the bump on the head is the cause of her issues, hopefully it's injury and she will recover.
Marek's disease is also something to consider, but I would focus on keeping her hydrated and eating.
Give vitamin therapy to help with neurological symptoms and leg function. 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily along with a little egg.

Thank you for replying. I have made peace with it being Marek's and need to do what is best for her. do you think she is suffering at this point? Should I cull her? My vet doesn't work with poultry anymore...sheesh this is a farming community.

With her having a bump on the head, I would treat her like she's got an injury. See if she improves with care and vitamin therapy.
If you do lose her, then sending the body for testing/necropsy would give you the best answers.

I agree that while Mareks is possible, with her head swelling, it could be a head injury, which can mimic Mareks. Make sure that she is drinking and getting enough food.

The bump is the size of small pea. It may be false hope but I feel like it is a bit smaller than last night. But it is hard like her skull.
She is still eating and drinking the turmeric tea and water. She bellied up to the food dish still laying down and was just eating while laying down. It seriously made me chuckle. She looked at me like, "What are you looking at." Also her comb (as small as it is) is red as well as her tiny waddles.
I have her in my living room...should I give her added heat source?

If a lame chicken is lying around, sometimes they can get a peck from the other chickens when they are not acting normally. Hopefully, it is not Mareks, but the best way to find out is testing if they die, and the state vet does a necropsy.
