Hey all! Cross posting here:
I inherited four chicks from my daughter’s preschool teacher that was told were two golden sexlink and two Welbars; all poulets. We’ll, they’re definitely EEs, not Goldens or Welbars, and I’m not convinced they’re all poulets. Here they are at 12/13 weeks. Thoughts?

UPDATE: here they are a few weeks later. I officially think I have three cockerels and one hen. 😣. Thoughts?

I'm thinking the all white one is your only pullet, though it's tough to see obvious saddle feathers on the others. I think the yellowy feathers on their shoulders are male-specific though.

I agree with just the one pullet. Not a good ratio of pullet to cockerel. I assume you will be finding new homes for the extrs cockerels?
Yes, we did not plan to have any roosters as we live in the city. After spending so much raising free range organic birds, I’m thinking of culling and eating them if I can get up the guts…

Yep, that’s my guess too. The two with the most gray on their breast have been regularly sparing. The bird in the first picture I thought was a hen until today. Now I’m suspicious.

That sounds like a good idea. Just think that it is unlikely that someone would get those roosters, definitely because you live in the city, and even if they did get them, there is a chance they could become food anyway.

It also may sound bad, but you put the time and money into raising those roosters, so you might as well get something in exchange.
