12 white leghorns from TS..all hens?

Pullets are not relly good for reproducing, they are better at laying barren (no chicks inside) eggs at high productions. I got this out of the book "Storey's guide to raising chickens"

Pullet is a termed used to describe a female chicken under 1 year of age. Normally, you would want your pullets to settle into their laying pattern before you start pulling eggs to incubate. And, a pullet isn't normally going to hit their peak production prior to a year old anyways.

that all makes alot of sense... no point in worrying about reproducing this year... thank you...
