12th Annual 2021 BYC New Year's Day Hatch-Along!

Not sure if I'll officially join in the hatchalong, but I'm thinking since one of my silkied Black Cochin bantams is laying now that I might set a test hatch to coincide with y'all. I'm not confident that Gus is fertilizing these eggs yet, though, so it's probably best if I stay back here with the spectators and not mess up your numbers for the eggs set / hatched chicks contests.

I am looking forward to seeing what hatches!

Do rabbits count for the hatch along? I'm still growing out the Halloween quail I hatched so no room for more birds right now. I bred 4 rabbits that should be due 12/30-1/2.

Welcome! When you know how many eggs you're setting you can send a message to @casportpony , there are contests going on, one being "How many eggs will be set" so she's keeping a tally.
Other than that just post for fun! Some people share candling images as they check development of their hatch and lots of us are just here to watch and help when questions are asked, like myself, because my incubators are stashed away until Spring!

You can "hatch" along with us for sure. They won't count for specific contests but enter all of the others please!
