They're barnyard mix chicks from our Welsummer rooster x Easter Egger hen.

They look like different breeds. The brown one looks kind of like a silkie, the yellow does not. Are they supposed to be the same breed?

Thank you. Once she/he realized that the outside was fun I couldn’t get it to stay still! Was running around, jumping, hoping while flapping its little wings, & just having a blast. Then plopped down on its side to soak up the sun.

I have one just like this, just about 2.5 weeks old. I love those cheeks!!! Her feathers are coming in soooo pretty too!

There's nothing as fun and beautiful than watching chicks play outside... My babies get regular trips to the run (enclosure) when the hens are out free ranging.... They roll around in the dirt, then explore the run!
