I see feathers on one of the feet. They are mixed with a feather footed breed?

I do not think they will feather out lavender.
Just curious... our local feed store is about to get in some EE's. I plan to get a few to add to my RIR and SLW+RIR mixes. I'd love to pick one out that is lavender. What are some positive signs an EE chick may feather out lavender?

I think one or both of my remaining eggs may have quit. 🥺 The one due on the 8th no longer has visible veins and was not moving when I candled just now. I think I saw some movement and veining in the one due on the 10th, but couldn't be sure with these dark shells. I locked them both down anyway, of course. Here's hoping! :fl
Oh no, I'm sorry. 😢

My hatch STILL isn't done. :hmm To make matters worse, I was out of town all day yesterday and during that time my incubator went dry. I lost a chick that was zipping. Several more chicks are out but I don't have a lot of hope for the remaining eggs. I have no idea how long it was dry. I added water before I left but it didn't help.

I'm still waiting. Went to clean out the incubators yesterday morning and had a surprise. Another chick!

So candled remaining unhatched eggs. Some clear quitters, others had clearly gotten pretty far along. Did eggtopsies. Several pretty well developed but had quit, not sure why. Then did one, when I poked a hole in shell, it started bleeding. Yikes! Used a Q-tip to stop blood and put back in the bator. Then put the rest in that were clearly far along.

Had another chick when I got home in the evening.

Going to give the last few another day or so. After lots of reading I found that I totally missed that I should be moving the eggs around to different spots in the bator, since it's still air. 😒 Feeling like a dummy.
I am very happy for you! Don’t feel bad for not realizing you had to move them around.

FIRST one hatched 4 hours ago, and others dont have any pip and nothing is i it ok? And waht Will I do with lonley chiks , when remove him if no others hatch?
You can leave the single chick in there for another day without issue. If nothing else hatches, get more from a feed store or put it in with a bird mirror or CD to make it feel less alone.

:hugs The other should be fine. Just get those sponges and cloths wet.

You would be better getting them from a breeder that sells Ameraucana
chickens. Feed stores will not likely have them.
