I hope you get enough eggs to set for Easter!
Even if I only get 2 eggs, I will set. I just set eggs 2 days ago too. So after today, anything she lays is going in my March 13th bundle. 😁 Hopefully she is laying fertiles. They're both young. 9 mos. And this is my first time breedinf chickens. I've always bred quail or in hs I was a "coop attendant" which meant I took care of 4 coops, all for egg collection only.

I’m having a heck of a time finding any eggs I want. I really want to wait for the girls to start being broody in a month (I suspect) so I have a reason to hatch. Last year three girls went three times. This year one died, but I have their four daughters (biologically nieces I think). I want call ducks, poults and any blue/green layers. The feed store isn’t cooperating with chicks. Of course I want quail, but I don’t trust the sellers I’m seeing that can get them here in time.

Hello All!

The Cottages Assisted Living is back for another Easter Hatch! We added another incubator this year. We are hatching in 3 different locations this time. and will be setting a total of 60 eggs. 36 EE's, and 24 Barnyard mix... It has been a rough year for our residents, with limited visitations of loved ones. and constant restrictions and mask wearing...They all love watching the hatch.

I've actually ordered quite a few random ebay quail eggs and it's worked weirdly well for me. My only failed hatch was when my post master stuff the box in my mailbox on a 100 degree day
