Nice!Well, in that case, we just started an experimental hatch in one of my incubators over here for a friend of mine with "Polkies" they're Silkie/Polish crosses. Some of the eggs are unwashed and gathered within 2 weeks and the rest were washed and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. She lost one of her hens so we figured, what's the harm in trying! I'm not anticipating a great turnout for these but I always enjoy a good experiment.
If all goes as planned the eggs I ordered will hopefully be shipped in time to be included in the HAL as well.
It's Day 3 for 9 of the Polkies and Day 2 for 13 Polkies (this is when we gave in and decided to set the refrigerator eggs as well, lol!).
I'm already seeing development in the Day 3 eggs!

LOL ,,,,,, I caved.....Well I was just going to sale hatching eggs this year, but we had 2 breeds housed together and need to know which eggs are which. Langshans and Jerseys...so guess we need to hatch them ourselves. setting it up today....Well, okay.Maybe I should set a few eggs just to see if the incubators are running okay. Maybe three eggs in my two main incubators. Then again, maybe I need to give my third incubator one more shot.
