...when I say “wonky” I mean this.As long as “wonky body” just means that she’s not SOP, go ahead and hatch!
I just posted pictures of her so you can see! It's very possible that the eggs are fertilized but the twisting of her body you're referring to sounds like a possible genetic defect that would make me hesitate to hatch her eggs.

She has been like this her whole life, her feathers are odd too they look half normal half Silkie-ish.I have NO intentions of perpetuating her genes in my flock.Any chick I get from her would be a one time deal for curiosities sake.Never again.Looks like wry tail to me. It can be a genetic defect or from injury. If she's had it all her life, or it seemed to appear in her "teenager" stage around 6-10 weeks I would say genetic. You can hatch her chicks, just be aware that you may possibly be perpetuating the issue in your flock.
Any updates?

You should hatch the egg!Ok so while collecting hatching eggs today I noticed I got a egg from my Silver Spangled Hamburg hen Dizzy..who happens to be the ugliest member of her breed I’ve ever seen.wonky crooked body, wonky feathers, surprisingly healthy and sweet tempered.I told myself I would never breed from her because of this..but it’s sooo tempting to as she is the only example I have and I’ve always wanted to see the resulting chick..but my rooster is sooo much larger than her is it even possible that the egg is fertile?Should I risk it?I’m so conflicted!![]()
Took a dozen eggs out to the coop. Hopefully that'll entice some one to go broody. I marked them and they're mostly Welsummer eggs. I hate candling them. That still leaves me with 5 1/2 dozen to contend with.
