Unfortunately, the eggs I'd hoped to get shipped in for the EHAL will not be sent out in time, so I'm out for that one. 😕

Hopefully, instead, I'll be hatching from my own Marans, but it'll all depend on if my Silkie roosters have been breeding them, because I do not want any more Silkie mixes if I can help it. :fl
We have a week before and after for the eggs to count. How late will they be?

It's possible they could ship on Monday, in which case they could be here in time for me to enter, but I'm not expecting them to ship at least until the 22nd or later, honestly. I didn't get a solid date because she's testing for fertility before she ships any out. :)

If the dye is dangerous or it dyes the bum permanently then no thank you! I have no wish for rainbow bummed chickens.creative idea though!:thumbsup

I've done it a couple times and have had no permanent rainbow bums occur as a result. 🤣 It did work to an extent, but the brightly colored droppings they also had from it was a bit of a startling side effect.

That would be funny!

The dye they uses was food coloring-- it was not permanent.

Trap nesting worked the best.
