What is a trap nest?

If the dye is dangerous or it dyes the bum permanently then no thank you! I have no wish for rainbow bummed chickens.creative idea though!

Pretty sure it’s not dangerous. Usually just food coloring.

Oops! Need to take me out of the Easter Hatch-along. I misread set dates (thought it was last year's set date of 3/21 somehow) and thusly my incubator is full up with previous eggs. Bummer!

It is a nest box with a one way door. The hen goes in to lay the egg and then has to be let out. You can modify a nest box or buy one.
