And that is why I want more Welsummer. I know from experience that I don’t like a uniform egg basket. I also like various colors of chickens. I do want to be sure that I know eggs apart though, and all cockerels will be eaten. So, I will be taking other people’s Welsummer.No-one can have enough mutts! I love how unique and beautiful they are.But I’ve never been a fan of chickens that all look the same so what do I know?

They peeped all-night-long! All night, every night, all day, every day for the few weeks they were in the house. The other chicks were silent. The Leghorns were loud, loud LOUD!

We just received our first incubator a few days ago and I so excited that we were able to make the Easter hatch a long!!

What incubator did you get? I’m thinking about selling two or all three of mine, and getting a really good new one. Probably a Brinsea. I’ll be sure to get quail rails. You know it’s less nerve wracking!
