And that is why I want more Welsummer. I know from experience that I don’t like a uniform egg basket. I also like various colors of chickens. I do want to be sure that I know eggs apart though, and all cockerels will be eaten. So, I will be taking other people’s Welsummer. :D :wee
Welsummer eggs are eggshell poetry. I love mine; its always a pleasant surprise at the nest box. I will be keeping as many pullets as I can house this year :ya

Can I still join, I am picking up 12+ American Breese eggs tomorrow. I can't set them at noon, but I can set them after they set for at least 8 hours, if Iam correct. They aren't shipped eggs, but I have a 2 hour drive back with them.
Nice selection on the breed. I think timing is fine for joining. Welcome hope they hatch well for you.

What day in Australia should my eggs hatch for this hatch-along?
I have 2 broody hens on the job, I put eggs under them today so I hope that is the right timing as sometimes they hatch a day before, on the day, or day or 2 after... But due for the Easter long weekend.
Sounds good on the timing as well. A day or so before or after seems to be the norm here.

What incubator did you get? I’m thinking about selling two or all three of mine, and getting a really good new one. Probably a Brinsea. I’ll be sure to get quail rails. You know it’s less nerve wracking!
We got the incuview 360 incubator.
