Quick question. I know that the consensus here is 'set all the eggs', but should I set this one?

It had quite a bit of poo on it, and, as you can see, despite how tremendously careful and gentle I tried to be when I wiped it off, it took a lot of the outer color of the egg with it. I assume this means that the bloom in those patches has been destroyed. :( Considering all this, is this egg even safe to set?

I got this egg, I think from Vivienne, plus one more today from Mavis. Mavis is who I most want to hatch from because her color is kind of unique, so I was super excited to get another egg from her, but sadly my hand slipped when I was inspecting it for imperfections and I dropped her egg. 😭 I'm so upset that I let that happen! Hopefully she'll lay another one tomorrow so I can set it then. :fl
Yes, it should be fine.

Do watch it and if you smell sulfur, remove it.

I had chickens in the outer limits of the city of Riverside, in the 80's, they liked lots of pans of water and I ran the sprinkler a lot. Never had the advantages of chatting with other chicken keepers like this back then.:old But, I had Grandparents who had kept chickens, that helped!
It seems that hot weather is harder on chickens than cold weather. Water, shade and the misting system works well in the heat.

What is for you best time to candle ?

I had to re-set eggs thanks to a darn Farm Innovations incubator had gotten it new set it up Thursday put eggs in Friday and friday evening it went to 106 degrees for an uncertain amount of time. I have them redone and there's 41 in there currently. I did mine on Saturday evening.

Oh no! I hope everything goes well for this batch!

I have home made incubator, my grandmother made it and its always work fine, the problem is he always show some crazy temps but always hatch chiks, so i decided to not look at it at all , the place where you can see temp now looking at the wall🤣
I know i must buy profesional incubator but this one is in our family for 9 years and it works.
