Depends on water temp too. I usually keep mine running around 101-102°F but it gets too hot/humid to use during summer. I don't mind the cold but my husband likes to think he's a tropical creature :lau Anyway, so far my new incubator is running a stable temp of 99.5° with steady humidity levels around 49%
Snow on the ground, and steam rising from the water. :love

I thought I was going to die when the thread was locked. I waited 11 minutes, and had to do something else before I lost my mind… or went to bed. I guess I should have gone to bed.
Sorry it took so long. :hide

You are so right, before I would try to only candle 3x during incubation. It's so exciting to see them developing now
I typically don’t candle at all. if Duckling thinks of it, I let her do it. Otherwise, I forget about the incubator. Typically. Apparently this is the exception.

I should have waited a couple weeks... 56 out of 59 made it to lock down. Several already pipped. Didn’t add water and so far so good.

Good luck on everyone’s hatches coming up!
