Welllllll, 45* is better.

Depends on water temp too. I usually keep mine running around 101-102°F but it gets too hot/humid to use during summer. I don't mind the cold but my husband likes to think he's a tropical creature Anyway, so far my new incubator is running a stable temp of 99.5° with steady humidity levels around 49%

You are so right, before I would try to only candle 3x during incubation. It's so exciting to see them developing now

I typically don’t candle at all. if Duckling thinks of it, I let her do it. Otherwise, I forget about the incubator. Typically. Apparently this is the exception.

Eh, I have to winterize every year will definitely be working on building/fixing things around here this year tho

I should have waited a couple weeks... 56 out of 59 made it to lock down. Several already pipped. Didn’t add water and so far so good.
