Well, I candled my eggs last night and half of them were blood rings. 😢 Not sure what is going on. Hopefully the rest will be ok. This did not happen with my hatch last month; maybe I didn’t do a good job cleaning the incubator? Feeling a bit disappointed.

Not likely anything you did. 😊
In my experience this happens more often with shipped eggs.

Does anyone happen to know if naked neck is a dominant gene? Lol...it just occurred to me that there is a chance for naked neck Polkies in my hatch because my friend has a Showgirl Silkie. :lau
Naked necks look funny enough but if you throw in Polish genes this could be a very funny looking chicken. Lol!
Last year i had NN ROOSTER and 10 hens (2 nacked necks) all chiks out of NN ROOSTER and NN hens were naceked neck but all chiks out NN ROOSTER and hens who are not NN were naceked neck in just 30-40%

Other duck feet photos. (Also, I took a video where you can see them moving and its so much easier to see. It melts your heart. If anyone wants to see it, just ask and I'll invite you to a pm.
