Muscovy eggs are creamy coloured if that helps at all (I only have Muscovy so not sure about other duck egg colours).

If I was you I'd keep an eye on when some of them started to pip internally and only lock down then. But that's just me (plus I love to candle and see what's going on).
Oh thanks! I will have another look. I can't see much when I candle, just the air sacs. At least I am hand turning and don't have to worry about shutting the turner off. I just worried about not turning the muskovy eggs and you taught me something valuable!! Thank you SO much!

At this stage turning isn't as crucial as it is in the early stages and if you aren't sure which eggs are which it might be better to stop turning so the ducklings all get into hatch position properly (turning can confuse them so when you candle keep the egg in the position it's in inside the incubator). The air cell will develop quite a slant and you'll start to see shadowing at the base of the air cell before the ducklings pip internally. It's quite obvious when the little bill is in the air cell. Can't wait to see those ducklings! 🥰

@BirdsBeesTrees said using it voids the warranty, which is insanely ridiculous!

I may have misunderstood, but I thought the implication was that using it specifically to hatch, as in from lockdown until chicks pop out of eggs, would void the warranty because of the humidity requirements being too high for the model to handle at that stage, not just using it in general?

As in, you can incubate chicken eggs up to day 18 in it, but you need a second incubator to move them to for the higher humidity requirements after that point?
